#Hypnosis can reduce the intensity of chronic pain

There is now a growing evidence base which confirms the usefulness of hypnosis to reduce the intensity of chronic pain.  This is great news for those whose pain results from neurophysiological processes, such a some cancers and other conditions.

Hypnosis works through imagination and suggestion, usually but not always following a period of induction.  Induction is the period given towards preparing the client to be more acceptable to suggestions.

Clients who experience chronic pain or who may be exposed to invasive and sometime painful investigations can learn to use self-hypnosis.  This provides the opportunity for clients to have more control over such experiences.  Why not give this some thought!
